Countdown to Obama – 5
Posted in Parenthood is Political on January 15, 2009 by Michelle TaylorFive things I love about Barack Obama:
- His letter to his daughters.
- That the first thing made me take a second look at him was his refusal to wear a flag pin purely because everyone else does.
- That he came outside in the freezing cold to address the crowd that didn’t make it into Key Arena (and shook my hand.)
- That he is sentimental and thinks about things like using Lincoln’s bible for his inauguration.
- That he took his family to the Lincoln memorial (my favorite place in D.C.) to partake in history, to take stock and to share with his family what this really means for us all.
