‘Twas the night before…

New Years and all through the house a mama, a papa and a baby (I’m not a baby saith Autumn) little girl had a little champagne and danced to twinkle lights with an old radio tuned to NPR playing “Auld Lang Syne.” It was beautiful, magical and unlike any other New Years in my life!!! And even though I actually detest that horrible New Years song (and don’t particularly like New Years or making stinking resolutions), it didn’t even matter because when Autumn raised her hand (and her glass) to me and said, “Mama, let’s dance,” it was the only song in that moment that mattered. She even learned how to clink glasses and say cheers (watch out she might break your glass).

So cheers to 2007 and our little family making it one year, (one drink), and one dance at a time…
